How a Tile Roof Job Runs
Tile work is slower than shingle work because every tile is handled twice: once coming off, once going back on. Here is what that looks like day to day.

Why is my tile roof leaking when the tiles look fine?
On a tile roof the tile is the outer shell, and the underlayment beneath it is what actually keeps water out. When that underlayment dries out and fails, you get leaks even though the tile above looks perfect. We check both during the inspection.
Can you replace just a few cracked tiles?
Yes. Individual slipped or cracked tiles can be swapped out, and we match profile and color as closely as the tile line allows. We only recommend larger work when the underlayment or flashing underneath is the real problem.
How long does a tile roof last?
The tile itself can last for decades, but the underlayment, flashing, and fasteners underneath wear out sooner. Most tile roof work we do in Baton Rouge is renewing those layers rather than replacing the tile.
Will walking on my tile roof break more tiles?
Tile has to be walked carefully, in specific spots, with the right staging. Our crew is trained on that. If a sound tile breaks during our work, we replace it.
